Texas School of Management to be Named After Naveen Jindal
Naveen Jindal has been duly honored by the University of Texas. The University’s School of Management has been named after him due in large part to his amazing achievements in the world of entrepreneurship and public service. Jindal is a
former industrialist who is now a well respected politician in his home country of India. His achievements are quite significant which is why he is being bestowed with thishonor.
Not very many people can lay claim to the fact that their achievements are so pronounced a major university would name a school of management after them. Jindal now has joined the ranks of the very few that are held in such esteem.
The establishment of a management school is not the end of such a working relationship. In the near future, the Naveen Jindal Institute for Indo-American Business Studies will be established at the university. This could lead to a greater understanding the similarities and differences between both cultural approached to entrepreneurship and business.
Jindal is the current MP from Kurukshetra. He is no stranger to the Texas university system. He had earned an MBA from the state university’s Dallas branch in 1992. It was also here that he began his career in politics having been elected student government president. He was also given the prestigious award of student leader of the year.
The School of Management previously worked out an agreement with the Jindal Global Business School to craft an exchange program with working to develop research and teaching projects. Time will tell if this is expanded further although it is likely that it will.
